Tattooing exists in the physical world. So does tattoo supplies.

Ink bottles, caps, gloves, disposables & shipping materials — plastic is part of the reality of what we do and pretending otherwise doesn’t help anyone.

At Zubi Supply, we believe responsibility starts by acknowledging impact, not ignoring it.

We Don’t Pretend Plastic Isn’t Part of Tattooing

That means we contribute to plastic waste and we won’t pretend we don’t.

Acknowledging that reality is the only honest starting point.

 Responsibility Is Action, Not Silence

Ignoring the problem doesn’t make it smaller and shifting responsibility doesn’t make it disappear.

Instead of claiming to be “plastic-free” or “eco-perfect,” we choose a more grounded approach:

  • Recognize the impact our trade & industry has

  • Reduce waste where possible

  • Support organizations actively working to clean up what already exists

That’s why Zubi is a member of 1% for the Planet. 

We commit 1% of revenue to environmental impact, and we direct those contributions toward organizations like Parley for the Oceans.

Why Parley for the Oceans

Plastic pollution in our oceans is one of the most urgent environmental challenges of our time: 

Parley's work goes beyond awareness. They focus on:

  • Large-scale cleanup initiatives

  • Intercepting plastic before it reaches the ocean

  • Transforming recovered plastic into usable materials

For us, this isn’t about optics — it’s about supporting real, measurable action.

What This Means for Zubi Supply

Being part of 1% for the Planet means responsibility is built into our structure — not added as marketing.

It means:

  • We don’t hide from the realities of our trade & industry

  • We support cleanup efforts beyond our own operations

  • We prioritize progress over perfection

We are not claiming to “offset” tattooing. We are choosing to take responsibility within it.

As Zubi grows, our responsibility grows with it.

We will continue to:

  • Evaluate products, packaging and shipping decisions

  • Support organizations creating tangible environmental impact

  • Be transparent about where we stand and what we can improve
